Getting Rid of Unwanted Stuff In Your Windows XP Explorer Menus
April 12, 2004

Do you find it annoying when you right-click on a directory in Windows Explorer and there is a whole bunch of unwanted stuff on your menu?

1. Start -> Run -> regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Classes -> Directory -> Shell (check under Shellex as well)

Delete the ones that you don't want showing up when you right-click. Note that this is only for the ones that show up when you right-click on a FOLDER.

I may post some other notes on deleting entries that show up when you right click on a FILE or use the FILE -> NEW command in Explorer.
